Automatica 2025

Held every two years in Munich, Germany, Automatica is one of the world’s leading trade fairs for smart automation, robotics, and machine vision. It brings together top global companies and industry experts in one place.

Following our participation in Vision 2024 held last October in Stuttgart, Germany, iCore took part in its second major exhibition in Germany at Automatica 2025. What made this event even more special was our selection for the “Automatica 2025 Global Market Entry Support Program,” jointly operated by the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and Start2 Group, a local AC institution in Germany.

Through this program, we engaged in a range of activities such as networking to connect with European partners and booth exhibition support. In particular, the local mentoring sessions provided in-depth insights into the European market landscape.

What is iCore’s Exhibition

At Automatica, iCore showcased its core technologies in a designated exhibition space within the Start2 Group’s joint pavilion. The spotlight was on two main demonstrations: AUTO FOCUS MODULE and ON-THE-FLY INSPECTION DEMO, both featured in live demos throughout the event.

✅ Optical Triangulation Auto Focus Module

For the first time, iCore featured its Auto Focus Module—one of the company’s core technologies—at a European exhibition. The module was co-developed in collaboration with Mitutoyo, a renowned Japanese optics company, and Daitron, iCore’s partner and Mitutoyo’s official distributor.

The solution integrates iCore’s high-speed Auto Focus Sensor with Mitutoyo’s tube lens to achieve real-time auto focusing.

  • IT-AF-MBK2 : Real-time focus control sensor based on FPGA, integrating both height measurement and motor control

  • IT-AF-ZAA2 : Lightweight Z-axis actuator using infinite optical system, moving only the objective lens

  • WIDE VMU-HR : High-performance lens with a 30mm wide image circle, also compatible with NIR

  • M Plan Apo 5x HR : Objective lens offering exceptional resolution

Daitron, as a key global partner of iCore and an official Mitutoyo distributor, actively proposes this Auto Focus solution to customers around the world.

✅ ON-THE-FLY INSPECTION DEMO

As high-speed and high-precision inspection remains a key requirement in the European market, iCore once again presented its ON-THE-FLY INSPECTION demo, following its debut at the recent exhibition in the Netherlands.

The demo featured iCore’s signature technologies: Hybrid Spot M2, a high brightness lighting, Strobe Controller(iPulse) capable of pulse widths shorter than 0.5μs

These technologies were met with great interest from visitors on-site.

As this was iCore’s first official booth at Automatica, it marked a significant milestone. We were encouraged by the enthusiastic response from numerous potential customers and industry professionals throughout the event.

Building on this experience, iCore plans to return to Automatica 2027 with a standalone booth, aiming to engage with more visitors and strengthen our network across the European market.
